Staff at the Hilton Grand Rapids Airport is excellent. This is an older hotel with older layout but it has some ambience to it. Rooms are a good size and beds are comfortable. Breakfast buffet was really good. Of course, I get it for free since I am a Hilton Gold HHonors member. That is one great benefit since they let my family eat for free as well. AC is a bit loud and is the old floor unit types. That is kind of annoying. Check in/out was easy and the little things like available cold water in the lobby were icing on the cake. #Yelp100

Pretty decent place to stay. This hotel has a great location being about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids and is close to local malls and shopping centers. There are also tons of restaurants and fast food options all nearby. It features an onsite restaurant, indoor pool and free parking. Upon check in we were greeted by the very friendly front desk staff, given our room keys and told to come back in an hour for our complementary chocolate chip cookies. We then made our way to our room. Our room was clean but had a few minor issues. There was paint peeling on the ceiling in the bedroom area. The bathroom was pretty small compared to other DoubleTree Hotel bathrooms we have had. There was paint peeling in the bathroom also. The shower had really good pressure and the water got nice and hot though. The beds were definitely not as comfortable as the last DoubleTree Hotel we stayed in as we loved that mattress so much that we found out where they sold them new and bought one for ourselves for our own bedroom at home. On the plus side, the radio in the room was pretty cool as it had a iPhone/Pod docking station and a input for any other type of smartphone or MP3 player. There were plenty of outlets to charge our iPad and all three of our smartphones and extra battery packs. The TV was nice and had a decent amount of channels for our viewing pleasure. The AC in the room worked very well also. The iron worked well also as most of the time our rooms have had crappy irons. Even though there were three of us in the room initially we were only given towels and wash cloths for two people. After we had unpacked and got our clothes ironed and ready for the next day my wife went down to the front desk to get some towels for our daughter and to try again to get our complementary chocolate chip cookies. A few minutes later she returned with her towels but, no cookies. She was told that they were out of cookies for the evening and to come back down at 11am the next morning. The following day we were out and about before 11am but, we did get our cookies when we returned later that morning. For the great price we got online and great location of the hotel I would defiantly not only recommend this hotel but, I would defiantly stay here again.

We booked a king bed and specifically requested a room in a quiet area of the hotel, but instead we got a double bed room by the elevator. Oh, and it's a handicapped room. So much for taking care of Hilton Honors... at least the girl at the desk was nice and the room is clean. Update in the morning: The noise levels here are really bad, I've been hearing room doors slam all morning. Plus I can hear the elevator machinery every time it's used. Also, housekeeping did not check to make sure the alarm was off, so I woke up hours earlier than intended and couldn't fall back asleep. Finally, the mattress is uncomfortable. I think this place has some good potential, but my experience here has been among the worst. I've gotten more rest at $40 motels.

Definitely an older Hilton. It has many of the amenities that a Hilton has: great front desk staff, restaurant (still overpriced like most Hiltons), and clean rooms. However, to my surprise, there was no Executive Lounge. This is a bare-bones Hilton, but you will be treated to the basics well. We had a clean room with very nice bedding that was cleaned promptly every morning. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating, especially by having house umbrellas available on a very rainy night. They are located slightly off the beaten path, but close to the airport and a Starbucks; both important things when travelling. Parking is free! It's close to the highway, and only a 15 minute drive from downtown. Given that it costs a little more than half of the downtown hotels, I might find myself staying her again when I'm in Grand Rapids.

Check-in: easy breezy, quick and painless. Room: Basic Hilton. Clean, organized, comfortable. Breakfast at Spinnaker: your typical continental breakfast buffet. Staff is very nice and friendly. Parking: free surface parking. This place is easy and excellent for business travelers.

It's older. Good location and decent hotel. It's not as nice as the courtyard next door or the Hampton inn & suites & springhill down the road. I think the draw is the full service and location only. The room was clean, but a little rough in the bathroom. (Not dirty, just worn and older). I had to take a like warm shower this morning. I wouldn't be upset if I had to book here again, IF the 3 hotels above and the Homewood (2 miles away) were already booked.

Arrived after 7 pm on a Friday and had to wait for 30 minutes to check-in. According to the manager, our reservation was not showing up in their computer system. I pulled up my reservation and stated I had a Hotwire reservation. His colleague even pulled out the hotel's printed confirmation binder for third-party bookings and sure enough, the reservation was made. He stated that he would have to call Hotwire regarding this issue. I don't think the issue was with Hotwire since the reservation has been confirmed both with Hotwire and a printed copy of the confirmation in their binder. Left waiting to get checked-in after a 12 hour long drive. Other guests had the same problem as I was attending a wedding that weekend. There needs to be a system in place to check this issues. I am hoping that management will look into this further. Disappointed.

This is an older Hilton, so the manner in which it is laid out and the services available tend to reflect another era. I was expecting an old decrepit place based on some of the reviews this place had. What I got was a nice spacious room in a hotel that was in reasonably good repair. The room itself was clean and spacious, only thing that would give away it's old school status are the tiny restrooms. I admit, the hallways had just a bit of a musty odor to it, but I didn't sleep out in the hallways. Room service is available. The partner restaurant is Spinnakers and I took advantage of the complimentary drink and had a salad. The wedge salad was fine, though kind of hard to mess that up. One bitch with Spinnakers is that they didn't keep the complimentary popcorn machine full of fresh hot popcorn. Lazy Bastards. All in all, it was a decent clean place, had a restaurant and bar attached in case you didn't want to leave the hotel and free wi-fi. All for under a hundred bucks. In my opinion this place rates pretty high on the value scale.

This is a basic Hilton - a step above a Garden Inn but definitely not a high end Hilton. Rooms are fine. No views, but in the outskirts of GR what is there to see. They are fairly close to the airport and do have shuttle service so it is a convenient place to stay if flying out early in the morning. Staff is mostly pretty friendly and helpful. In my 3 stays there I was only given poor service on time during one stay. Also, the Spinnaker is attached, so you have a decent restaurant and bar on the premises if you need a bite or a drink.

Spent a few days at the Hilton Grand Rapids. Staff was incredibly helpful, the room was always spotless and the restaurant downstairs had great dinners and an excellent morning buffet. Good restaurants around and a great gym and pool too.

I have been to many Hilton's this one is on the good side. As others have stated this one is feeling it age, but the staff is great from front desk to bell staff and the restaurant. My list for this hotel: Nice beds Quite room Clean room AC/Heat that works - it is louder here but passable Great atmosphere in restaurant lounge - smiling staff always. I have been here several times.

Spent three nights here for a business conference. The hotel has a reasonable price for the value it provides. Room are decent, clean and well arranged. You can jog north, north west of the hotel on a safe sidewalk through neighborhoods. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is ok.

Nothing in this hotel works. Internet was down most of the day, bathroom fuse gets burnt out easy. Save your money. Stay somewhere else. The only plus is the free drinks you get if you have status with Hilton. Otherwise, this place is old and becoming decrepit.

This Hilton really isn't up to Hilton standards. It is old & hardly updated. They also missed my wake-up call. I don't think I'd stay here again. Next time, I will try the Marriott Courtyard by the airport

I stayed here with some friends this spring while in GR for a wedding. The rooms were nice and clean, but really the most fun we had was at the pool. When we can home a little toasted after the wedding, we decided a midnight swim was in order! The manager let us hang out in the pool area for as long as we wanted after it "closed." Which was awesome because there's not much to do in GR after a wedding other than go back to the hotel and pass out. We behaved ourselves and had a great time. :) The other employees at the hotel were really helpful, and we were provided with a shuttle bus to the wedding/reception, which was nice, since A) we didn't really know our way around and B) nobody wants to be the DD at a wedding with open bar. There are some chain restaurants down the street (Noodles & Co, Perkins, etc.) and also a Target is right nearby too in case you forgot to pack something or you're just bored and want to wander. No offense Michigan, but GR is pretty dull!

I can't believe this hotel has gotten such good ratings. First of all, the property is old. Not to be rude, but the hallway my room was on smelled like feet. The walls are also extremely thin and I could hear my neighbors on both sides. On the plus side, the staff is extremely friendly and there is a business center where you can print for free. The plus of this hotel for business travelers is that there's a restaurant attached to the property. The restaurant is not so nice but it serves as a physical space to meet for working meals. I much prefer the newer Hampton Inn property nearby.

Nice hotel in Grand Rapids. Right by the airport with tons of places to eat in the area. Its also convenient to the highway so you can get to your destination quickly from here. The rooms are a little dated compared to most Hiltons, but they are in middle of renovating the hotel so I suspect that will be fixed shortly. That said they were in good condition just not as modern as some other locations.

Wonderful experience here. The price was very reasonable and the hotel was very clean. We enjoyed the free airport shuttle and very friendly hotel staff. They have wonderful smelling shampoo, soap and lotion. We also were surprised with a free breakfast buffet that had a lot of hot and cold items (one of the best free breakfasts I've had). Our room had a couch which we were pleasantly surprised with and was impeccably clean. This is a great hotel which I highly recommend!

Worst stay!!! I feel like the second floor has turned into party central. Called down stairs three times to have someone come to talk to the several rooms. Teenagers running, yelling and slamming doors. I think the hotel shouldn't offer me to move to another room - they need to move this loud bunch away from hard working people like me. I'm not staying here again ... Last time I got food poisoning from the coffee creamer in the room
